Visual Lesson Plans

Every week I see Deedee Willis's visual lesson plans on her blog, and I just love the idea.  I've been wanting to play around with visual lesson plans for awhile, so I thought I'd try it out this week.  I've been going back and forth on a couple of things that I'd love your input on:

1.  Would you rather see a cover page or the actual page I'm on for each lesson?

2.  Do I really need to show all 12 math stations, or should I just show pictures of the new ones that will be introduced that week?

Remember, in theory I would have done one of these each week of the year, so you'd already know what I've already introduced and taught.  I have to keep my plans in a portrait position, because I keep everything in my lesson plan notebook, I'll add a picture of those too, so how I have it organized will make a little more sense.  Let me know what you think!

I'm linking up with Deedee on her awesome blog, so be sure to check it out!

  1. Wow! This is incredible! When I taught kindergarten I loved DeeDee's visual plans. I never thought it would work for third, but you proved me wrong.

  3. That is awesome. Would love to see weekly plans. This is my first year teaching third. I am still getting organized. I have bought several units of yours. This gives me a look at how to incorporate all the units. Thanks for everything you do.

  4. I would love to see your plans! I check in with you frequently to see what you've made, especially math, since we're departmentalized.
Seeing all 12 centers would be useful to me at this point in time.
    Thanks. Sharon

  5. I may have missed it, but I'm really interested in doing this. How do you get and insert the pics from the units? These are amazing! Keep doing what you're doing - it's awesome!
