Properties of Addition

I’ve been working frantically all week to get my fourth grade spiral review task cards ready, and I’m happy to say that I am D.O.N.E. Whew!  These are exhausting!  I do think they’ll be a very valuable resource for the entire year, so it’s worth it.  I have each month posted separately, and I’ve combined everything into a large bundle.  There’s over 500 task cards in the bundle!  The bundle will always be $5 cheaper than purchasing each month individually, and for the next week, I’ll take an additional $5 off the price!  You can check it out here!

I also had time to work in a couple of properties of addition posters.  I know the properties of addition can be tricky, so I thought these might be useful.  I’ve included the identity property, commutative property, and associative property.  I’ll make another set for multiplication a little later in the year.  You can click on any of the pictures to download a copy of the posters.

I love the Properties of Addition posters! I especially like that you included the use of variables in your examples.

I teach third grade, and one of the things the teachers of upper grades in our district would prefer is if we would not say the word "equal" but instead, use the wording "is equivalent to" in our reading of math problems. I would love to hear your thoughts on that.

Thank you again for another wonderful product!
